Registry of External Credit and Payments Abroad of the Private Sector

Through Resolution No. JPRM-2021-004-M of November 16, 2021, the Monetary Policy and Regulation Board, issued the Regulation for the Registration of External Credits to the Private Sector; which provided that the Central Bank of Ecuador will issue the administrative regulations in order to implement the provisions of said resolution.
Standard for the Registry of External Credit of the Private Sector in the Central Bank of Ecuador:
•Administrative Resolution No. BCE-GG-012-2021 of November 25, 2021.
•Published in Supplement No. 22 of the Official Registry of March 16, 2022.
The external credit registration requirements are maintained:
-Registration Form.
-Document that certifies income and accreditation of money in the debtor’s account.
-Document that certifies the import (if applicable).
– Application for registration for the primary issuance of bonds in international markets.
-Affidavit before a public Notary.
The register of external credit payments:
•The only requirement is the Form for the registration and payment of external credit, the same that can be found on the entity’s website, at the following link:
•https://www.bce.fin.ec/index.php/formularios-y-solicitudes3
• The presentation of any other documentation is eliminated, therefore the presentation of, among others, proof of payments, copies of previous credit records, copies of previous payment records, new amortization tables, is no longer required.
